My first time out to Rialto Beach. It ended up being a great trip because my friend that was moving away re-introduced me to an old friend and her boyfriend who I had never met that both became close friends over the next decade.
My main memory is that the friends boyfriend (who I had never met) and I were buying alcohol at Safeway for the trip and we didn’t know what the other wanted. Somehow we ended up buying a 100 proof Strawberry moonshine drink for the trip because neither of us offered up an actual opinion which resulted in something that wasn’t a middle ground, but that we both thought was one.
It was a disgusting drink that we completely finished and ate the full strawberries on the bottom. Also I think he fell asleep with cookies in his pockets when we were supposed to put everything into bear canisters.
